Mr. Mi[ls, Director of Budget,, presented the proposed 2013-2014 Crime Control & Prevention IDisthct. Budget. Notice of the public hearing was published lin the Star Telegram lin accordance with State law. The Chme Control Board and the City Council reviewed the budget on August 2 at the City's annual budget work session. The proposed budget for 2013-2014 lis $4,566,,145 and the revised budget for 20112-2013 is $4,331,,354. There were no questions from the Board. Vice President Rodriguez called for public comments on the budget. There being no one wnshling to speak, Vice (President Rodriguez closed the public hearing. Board Member Lombard moved, seconded by Board member Welch, to approve the proposed 2013-20114 budget and authorize adoption. Item No. A.3 Public Hearing on Crime Control and Prevention District Proposed 2011412015 Budget and Authorize Adoption Presenter: Mark Mills, Budget Director Summary. This item requests the Crime Control and Prevention District Board to conduct a public hearing to receive public comments and to make a recommendation to the City Council on the adoption of the Proposed 2014/2015 Budget. General) (Description: State (law regarding the Crime Control and Prevention District requires the District's Board to hold a public hearing prior to the adoption of the budget. The notice of this public hearing was published in the Star Telegram newspaper in accordance with State law. The public hearing for the 2.014-2015 Crime Control and Prevention District budget was advertised for 6:80 p.m., August 25, 2014. The proposed 2014-2015 Crime Control and (Prevention District annual budget was revnewed by the Crime Control Board and the City Council on August 8, 20114 at the City's annual budget work session. The proposed budget for 20114-2015 is $4,857,1167 and the revised budget for 20118-20114 is $4,580,380. A summary report is attached for your review. In order to obtain the maximum input from citizens on the proposed budget,, it is recommended that a public hearing be opened and public comment permitted.
