I 1. Call to order
Holly Bullington called to order the meeting of the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission
1 at 4:00 p.m. on December 14, 2014 at the North Richland Hills Neighborhood Services.

1 2. Approval of minutes from last meeting
Holly Bullington moved to approve the minutes of the October 21, 2014 meeting. Minutes {
approved as written. !
3. 2014 Green Campus Award entries.
Members reviewed Green Campus applications from Birdville High School, Green Valley
Elementary, Holiday Heights Elementary, North Ridge Elementary and Walker Creek Elementary.
d Doris Tipps made a motion that all qualified schools receive the Green Campus award. Each
school will receive a check for $150.00 for beautification of their campus. Second by Holly
1 Bullington. Motion approved.

4. Environmental Education Grants
Members reviewed Environmental Education Grant applications from North Ridge Elementary for
i a Compost Collection Campaign and from Green Valley Elementary for a Green Thumbs project.
After a review of the projects, Justin Welborn made a motion to grant the requested funding in the
amount of$282.77 for the Compost Collection Camp and $275.00 for the Green Thumbs project.
Second by Sandra Totty. Motion approved. t,

6. Review of the Waste in Place Contest entries.
Members reviewed the contest entries from Walker Creek Elementary, Foster Village Elementary,
Mullendore Elementary and Snow Heights Elementary. A first, second and third place winner was
chosen from each school in each contest category. The winning students and their teachers will
each receive a $25.00 gift card. 1
6. Bus tour and judging of the Christmas Lighting Displays
Members toured the city and judged the lighting displays in nine geographical areas. The nine
winners were provided with a yard sign and invited to the City Council meeting on January 12,
2015 to be recognized for their efforts/

The meeting was adjourned by Kathy Luppy at 8:30 pm.
