The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Brian Crowson: The first order of business is the consideration of the minutes
from our last meeting. Are there any questions or comments about the minutes?
If not, do I hear a motion?
Thomas Moreau: I make a motion that we accept the minutes.
Bob McCary: I second the motion.
Brian Crowson: I have a motion and a second to accept the minutes of our last
meeting. All those in favor say aye. Let the record show that it was a unanimous
aye.

SSB2013-40
PUBLIC HEARING FOR BLOCK 7 LOT 33 EMERALD HILLS ADDITION
ADDITION KNOWN AS 5512 GALWAY LANE
Brian Crowson: Our first hearing today is SSB2013-40 Block 7 Lot 33, Emerald
Hills Addition, known as 5512 Galway Lane.
Debbie Heizer: Presented a power point presentation for SSB2013-40.
Brian Crowson: Is there anyone who wishes to speak on behalf of this
Property? Seeing none I now close this public hearing and open it to the board.
Do I hear a motion?
Thomas Moreau: I make a motion that the Board determines that the structures
on this property are substandard and hereby order that:
(1) Robert V Phillips, owner of the property located at 5512 Galway Ln in
North Richland Hills, Texas, Block 7 Lot 33 Emerald Hills Addition
North Richland Hills, Tarrant County Texas shall within fifteen (15)
days obtain a building permit to repair the structure or obtain a permit
from the Building Official to demolish the structure to foundation.
(2) Should permits be obtained to repair structure, repairs must be made
within sixty (60) days.
(3) Should permit be obtained to demolish structure, structure must be
demolished within thirty (30) days.
(4) If the repairs are not made or if a permit is not obtained and work is not
completed in the time referenced in the preceding paragraph, the City
of North Richland Hills shall demolish the structure to foundation and
charge all expenses incurred by the city to the owner and place a lien
upon the property for the amount owed. The costs, together with
interest accruing at 10% per annum will be assessed as a charge
against the land and will be a personal obligation of the owner.
Deryl Brown: I'll second the motion.
Brian Crowson: All those in favor? Let the record show it was a unanimous aye.

PUBLIC HEARING FOR BLOCK 3 LOT 28 HILLVIEW ADDITION
ADDITION KNOWN AS 6765 TABOR DRIVE
Brian Crowson: Our second hearing today is SSB2013-41 Block 3 Lot 28,
Hillview Addition, known as 6765 Tabor Drive.
Dena Milner: Presented a power point presentation for SSB2013-41.
Brian Crowson: Is there anyone who wishes to speak on behalf of this
property?
Dave Troutt: 6765 Tabor Drive, N. Richland Hills TX. He mentioned all the
repairs that they have been doing to this property. They will continue to work to
bring this property up to code. He requested an additional (60) sixty days.
Brian Crowson: I now close this public hearing and open it to the board. Do I
hear a motion?
Thomas Moreau: I make a motion that the Board determines that the structures
on this property are substandard and hereby order that:
1. The property is hereby found to be a substandard building by
reason of conditions set forth in the notices of this hearing. Such
notices are hereby incorporated in this order.
2. It is hereby ordered that the following shall be completed:
• An inspection of the property by a North Richland Hills
inspector shall be performed within one (1) week.
• All repairs must be completed or the structure must be
demolished and the foundation cleared within sixty (60) days.
3. If the property owner fails to repair or demolish the structure as
ordered above within 60 days the lien holder shall have 60 days
to do the same.
4. It is further Ordered that if such corrective action ordered above
is not completed within the time there allowed, the City of North
Richland Hills is hereby authorized to demolish the structure and
to assess the cost of such action against the property as
provided by the city's ordinance.
Bob McCary: I'll second the motion.
Brian Crowson: All those in favor? Let the record show it was a unanimous aye.
