HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 0721 - ORDINANCE NO. 721 AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO CONSUME BEER OR ANY OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ON THE PREMISES WHERE BEER IS SOLD FOR OFF PREMISE CONSUMPTION; ESTABLISH- ING A PENALTY OF A FINE NOT IN EXCESS OF $200.00 FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVING CLAUSE AND EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, that: 1. It is unlawful for any person to consume beer or any other alcoholic beverage upon the premises where beer is sold for off premise consumption only. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation which is selling beer for off premise consumption only to allow any person to drink beer or any other alcoholic beverage upon said premises where said beer is sold. 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any portion of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not in excess of $200.00. 4. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such finding shall not affect the remaining valid portions. 5.
