MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF
THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, HELD
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1975, IN THE CITY HALL,
4101 MORGAN CIRCLE, 6:30 P.M.
Mayor Dick Faram called the specially scheduled
meeting to order September 29, 1975, at 6:30 P.M.

Mayor Faram announced that the Council would now adjourn
and go into closed session in accordance with Article 6252-17,
Section 2 of the Texas Open Meetings Law to consider employing
an attorney for contemplated litigation.
Mayor Faram called the meeting back to order. The same
council and staff members were present as recorded at the
beginning of the meeting.
Motion was made by Councilman Lamond, seconded by Council-
man Ellis, that the City retain Carl Quisenberry, of the
law firm Sears, Parker, Quisenberry and Spurlock, for up
to ten hours, at a fee of up to $75.00 per hour, to review
the contract and circumstances of the City's contract with
C. D. Shaw Construction Company and the bonding company,
Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland. Motion carried
4-0.
Consideration of Appropriation of $1,230 for Purchase
of Conference Room Chairs
After discussion centering around the requirements for
chairs in the conference room, the council decided to
reject the chairs under consideration as conference room
chairs.
Motion was made by Councilman Ellis, seconded by
Councilman Lamond, to advertise for bids on ten conference
room chairs. Motion carried 4-0 and the staff was instructed
to proceed as quickly as possible.
Approval of Purchase of Council Table Chairs
After discussion regarding type and color of chair,
motion was made by Councilman Ellis, seconded by Council-
man Conant, to purchase eight brown and one black council

4-0.
Approval of Purchase of Lateral Filing Cabinets
Motion was made by Councilman Lamond, seconded by
Councilman Ellis, to purchase eight lateral filing
cabinets at $239.05 each, from East Side Office
Supp ly, in accorda nce wi th that compa ny I s bi d.
Motion carried 4-0.
There being no further items on the agenda, Mayor
Faram declared the meeting adjourned.
