No action was taken on Ordinance No. 2465. _ L~~GrIfL ~`~~~h-c City Secretary ORDINANCE NO. 2465 WHEREAS, Texas Tax Code Section 326.003 makes it possible for a local taxing authority to repeal the application of a sales tax exemption during the sales tax holiday held the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday in August, and; WHEREAS, the City Council has considered opting out of the sales tax holiday, and; WHEREAS, a public hearing on consideration of opting out of the sales tax holiday was held prior to an official vote. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that: 1. The City Council of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, hereby repeals the application of the sales tax exemption referred to on Section 326.002 of the Tax Code of the State of Texas and by authority of Section 326.003 of said Tax Code said City repeals such sales tax exemption for the year 2000 and future years. PASSED by majority vote of the City Council at the regular City Council Meeting of March 27, 2000.
