McGinnis City Attorney Traci Henderson Assistant City Secretary A. CALL TO ORDER President Trevino called the meeting to order at 6.56 p.m. B. GENERAL ITEMS B.1 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 27, 2018 CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD MEETING AND AUGUST 2, 2019 CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD BUDGET WORK SESSION. APPROVED A MOTION WAS MADE BY BOARD MEMBER WRIGHT OUJESKY, SECONDED BY BOARD MEMBER RODRIGUEZ TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 27, 2018 CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD MEETING AND AUGUST 2, 2019 CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD BUDGET WORK SESSION. MOTION TO APPROVE CARRIED 6-0. August 26, 2019 Crime Control and Prevention District Board Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 3 B.2 PUBLIC HEARING ON THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT REVISED 2018/2019 BUDGET AND PROPOSED 2019/2020 BUDGET AND AUTHORIZE ADOPTION. APPROVED President Trevino opened the public hearing and called on Public Safety Director Jimmy Perdue to introduce the item. Mr. Perdue presented the Crime Control and Prevention District revised 2018/2019 budget and proposed 2019/2020 budgets and stated due to under performing sales tax revenues both the adopted, revised and proposed budgets are as follows: FY 2019 Adopted Budget $5,567,958 FY 2019 Revised Budget $5,709,184 FY 2020 Proposed Revenues $5,727,125 FY 2020 Proposed Expenditures $5,727,125 Mr. Perdue shared the percentage fund allocations, funded programs, historical revenue, and proposed budget overview. Council and staff discussed the two cent sales tax and the decline in sales tax. President Trevino called for anyone wishing to speak for or against the item to come forward. There being no one wishing to speak, President Trevino closed the public hearing. A MOTION WAS MADE BY BOARD MEMBER WELCH, SECONDED BY BOARD MEMBER BENTON TO APPROVE THE 2018/2019 REVISED CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BUDGET AND THE 2019/2020 PROPOSED CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BUDGET AND RECOMMEND APPROVAL BY CITY COUNCIL. MOTION TO APPROVE CARRIED 6-0. C.
