HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2544 ORDINANCE NO. 2544 AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOT 1 R, BLOCK 1, MORGAN MEADOWS ADDITION FROM R1S SPECIAL SINGLE FAMILY TO R1 SINGLE FAMILY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS ZONING ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City has received a request for a change in zoning district boundaries; and WHEREAS, after appropriate notice and public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, has forwarded a recommendation to the City Council for amendment of the Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Map by rezoning certain property as set forth herein; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: 1. THAT, in Case Number PZ 2001-01, being Lot 1R, Block 1, Morgan Meadows Addition located on the southwest corner of Hightower Drive and Little Ranch Road, as shown and described in Exhibit "A", shall be rezoned from R1S Special Single Family to R1 Single Family and, 2. THAT, the Official Zoning Map be redrawn to incorporate this zoning district boundary amendment and the herein described ordinance number be affixed to the property described herein. 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the section, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. 4. Ordinance 2544 Page 1 of2 EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS 26th DAY OF FEBRUARY 2001.
