WHEREAS, extensive areas of the City have been re-zoned, since the adoption of the first official Zoning Map, and whereas, it is deemed by the City Council of the City of North Rich1and Hills, Texas, to be in the best interest of the City that such map be updated and revised and whereas, the City Engineer has presented for approval a proposed updated and revised Zoning Map which the City Council, to the best of their ability, believes to be accurate, complete, and satisfactory in all respects, and whereas said map shall present a pictorial view of the various zoning classifications within the City and shall not constitute alteration, recision or vOiding of any zoning ordinance duly adopted by the City Council, and that the same should now be adopted as the Zoning Map of the City of North Rich1and Hills, Texas, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: That Ordinance No. 179 of the City of North Rich1and Hills, Texas, heretofore passed and adopted on the 13th day of November, 1967, is hereby amended by substituting the following for Article III, Section 2: "Section 2. The boundaries of these Districts are indicated upon the revised Zoning Map of the City of North Rich1and Hills, adopted on November 28, 1977 , and declared to be part of this ordinance. All notations, references and other information shown upon said Zoning Map are hereby made a part of this ordinance and shall be considered as much a part of the same as if the matters of information set forth thereby were all fully contained and described herein. Said map shall on its face be identified and verified in the manner following: Said map shall bear the title, "ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS"; it shall bear the date of approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and it shall bear the date of approval by the City Council of the City of North Rich1and Hills. It shall be signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Secretary. The statement below shall be printed on the face of the map margin: "This map is published for reference use only. The City of North Rich1and Hills and City Staff shall not be liable for omissions and/or errors shown on thi s map. Loop 820 North Richland Hills, Texas 76118 Subject: 3-002, CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, ZONING MAP UPDATE PROCEDURE Pursuant to our recent discussions concerning the updating of the City zoning map, we felt that we should formally outline a procedure which we both should follow, so as to adequately provide for proper and complete updating of the map in the future. Also, we plan to refer to this pro- cedure in the map preparation acknowledgement on the map. Unless you have other suggestions, we would recommend the following procedure: 1. Upon fo~al approval of any zoning and/or platting case by both the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council, city staff will transmit copy of approved plat and/or zoning case to Engineers for adding to map. 2. Engineers will acknowledge receipt in writing from City staff of transmitted plats and/or zoning cases. 3. Engineers will affix platting and/or zoning to the map. 4. Engineers will acknowledge same to City staff in writing with xerox copy of areas of map prior to and after zoning and/or platting change. 5. Also Engineers will insert zoning ordinance number in revision block on the map. To reiterate our assignment for the most recent update, we were instructed to begin with the original city zoning map and add all zoning cases which which have been approved f~ date of first official zoning map to present.
