M. by Mayor Pro-Tem Fred Chester. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Mayor Pro Tem Councilmen: Chester p. M. Dodson J. R. Hubbard Harold B. Daley Dick Faram James F. Cato J. B. Sandlin Mayor Calvin F. Luper STAFF: City Secretary Evalyn R. Reed PURPOSE: CONSIDERATION OF VARIOUS APPLICANTS FOR THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF ~H RIQ!LAND HILLS Councilman Cato moved, seconded by Councilman Faram, that the City Council listen to the tape of two applicants previously interviewed since several councilman had not had the opportunity to be present at the actual interview. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. The entire City Council reviewed all files compiled on the various applicants that have been interviewed to date for this position. Upon completion of this, Mayor Pro Tem Chester reported to the Council the recommendation of the City Manager Selection Committee which was: First Choice Stephen Shutt Muskogee, Oklahoma Second Choice James W. Rehfeld Portland, Texas After consideration, review and discussion by the Council, Councilman Daley moved seconded by Councilman Hubbard, that the City Council issue instruction to the administrative staff that retail credit report (financial, character and personnel) be ordered, this to be reviewed in detail by the City Council when received and if this report proves to be satisfactory to the City Council, the SeÅ“ection Committee will be instructed at that time to contact Mr. Stephen Shutt to arrange for a second detailed interview: travel expense to be paid, with the general agreement that if he is selected he will be offered remuneration of $800.00 per month, plus $100.00 per month car allowance, plus relocation and travel expense. This arrangement will prevail for a period of six months with Mr. Shutt's performance data to be reviewed at the end of this probation. ADJOURNMENT There being no further items to be considered on this Special City Council agenda, Councilman Daley moved, seconded by Councilman Dodson, that this meet.tng :be adjourned. - ~~:1~ ./ Mayor ~al"in F.
