HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 1966-03-14 Minutes MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, 4101 MORGAN CIRCLE, MARCH 14, 1966 7:30 P.M. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor John P. Hunter. ROLL CALL Those present: Mayor Hunter, Councilmen: Dodson, Dowell, Daley, Faram, King and Chester. Absent: Council- man Sandlin. Administrative staff present: City Attorney, City Manager, Fire Chief and City Secretary. INVOCATION The invocation was given by Mr. Cliff Stevens. CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Mr. Dowell moved, seconded by Mr. Faram, that the minutes of the meeting of February 28, 1966 be approved. The motion carried unanimously, 6-0. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER PERSONNEL REGULATIONS CC G-40 After discussion and minor revisions, Mr. Daley moved, seconded by Mr. King, that the personnel regulations sub- mitted by the City Manager in CC G-40 be adopted. The motion carried unanimously. CC G-47 Texas Municipal League Dues CC G-47 After discussion as to how the dutes for League Membership were computed, Mr. Dodson moved, seconded by M.r. Faram, that the City of North Richland Hills maintain its membership in the Texas Municipal League by paying dues in the amount of $520.00. CC G-48 Amendment to Nuisance Ordinance-Inoperative Moto.r Vehicles CC G-48 Mr. Dowell moved, seconded by Mr. Daley, that Ordinance No. 149 amending Ordinance No. 69 be adopted. The motion carried unanimously. CC G-49 Investment of City Funds CC G-49 Mr. Chester moved, seconded by Mr. Daley, that the -2- City Manager, Councilman Dick King and the City Secretary make up the Investment Committee. Mr. Dodson then moved that an addi tional member of the C.ity Council be appointed to the Investment Committee. Mr. Dowell seconded Mr. Dodson's amendment, and Mr. Alvis Dowell was nominated as the second City Council member of the Committee. The amendment to the motion carried unanimously, as did the original motion. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Cheste.r moved, seconded by Mr. Daley, that the meeting be adjourned. 4M <V¡ oJ
