CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor John P. Hunter.
ROLL CALL
Those present: Councilmen Dodson, Daley, King, Sandlin
and Chester. Absent: Councilmen Faram and Dowell. Adminis-
trative staff present: City Manager and City Secretary.
INVOCATION
The invocation was given by Councilman Fred Chester.
COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Hunter read a letter of resignation from Mr. Alan
Hamm. Mr. Hamm stated that he wished to resign from the
Planning and Zoning Commission due to increased business
obligations. Mr. Dodson made a motion, seconded by Mr.
King, that Mr. Hamm's resignation be accepted. The motion
carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEMBERS
Mayor Hunter suggested that Mr. William E. French be
appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. King
suggested that there might be a conflict of interests since
Mr. French worked for the Tarrant County Water Supply C:)rp-
oration. Considerable discussion followed. Council members
stated tha t they had not contacted anyone in reference to
acceptance of an appointment on the Planning a'nd Zoning
Commission. Mr. Chester made a motion, seconded by Mr.
Dodson, that the matter be tabled and that the Council be
pr epared at the next meeting with names of persons who would
be interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commiss-
ion. The motion carried unanimously.
Requesting the resignation of Mr. Jim McCoy was also
discussed. Mr. McCoy had been absent from a considerable
number of the meetings.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Sandlin made a motion,
the meeting be adj ourned.
