HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 1965-11-08 Minutes MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, 4101 MORGAN CIRCLE, NOVEMBER 8, 1965 7:30 P.M. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor John P. Hunter. ROLL CALL Those present: Mayor John P. Hunter, Councilmen: Dodson, Daley, Faram, King, Sandlin and Chester. Absent: Councilman Dowell. Administrative staff present: City Attorney, City Manager and City Secretary. INVOCATION The invocation was given by Councilman Fred Chester. CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING The Council asked that it be noted in the minutes that the total number of incandescent street lights to be installed around Richland High School and in the Holiday Heights residential area would be 23. Mr. Chester made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sandlin, that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved with the above mentioned note as to the total number of street lights. The motion carried 6-0. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER CC G-27 Financial Assistance - Trinity Improve- ment Association CC G-27 Mr. Chester made a motion, seconded by Mr. King, that the City contribute $100.00 to the Trinity Improvement Association. The motion carried unanimously. CC P-ll Purchase of Police Patrol Vehicles CC P-ll Mr. King made a motion, seconded by Mr. Chester, that the City purchase two (2) PlYmouth automobiles, less trade-in of two Ford Automobiles from Forest Park Plymouth on the low bid of $2,893.50 net bid. The motion carried unanimously. CC P-12 Construction of Fence - Public Works Garage CC P-12 Mr. Chester made a motion, seconded by Mr. -2- NOVEMBER 8, 1965 Faram, that the City accept the bid of the Rustic Fence Company, Incorporated, in the amount of $1,181.00 for construction of a fence around the Public Works Garage. The motion carried unanimously. CC PL-6 Planning and Zoning Commission RECOMMENDATIONS PZ 65-17 CC PL-6 The City Manager informed the Council that there was a ROW easement on file with the County granting the City of North Rich- land Hills 56.7 feet from the center of Rufe Snow Drive and that the street directly be- hind the self-service filling station and directly in front of the E. P. Haltom property at the corner of Rufe Snow Drive and Glenview Drive was a dedicated street. Mr. King made a motion, seconded by Mr. Daley, that the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission be accepted on PZ 65-17, zoning request granted. The motion carried unanimously. CC TA-9 Tax Adjustment NRH 928 CC TA-9 Mr. Daley made a motion, seconded by Mr. King, that TA-9 be accepted. The motion carried unanimously. CC TA-IO Tax Adjustment NRH 932 Mr. King made a motion, seconded by Mr. Daley, that TA-IO be accepted. The motion carried unanimously. CC TA-IO TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE CONFERENCE Councilman Dick King gave a report on the Texas Municipal League Conference attended by the Conncilmen and the Administrative Staff.
