COUNCIL MEETING DECE1~3ER 7. 1953

Meeting called to order at 8:15 p.m. Present were Messrs.
¡'latson, Chrif~tofer, Kutelek,Ellenburg, Norman.
A request was received by Mayor Watson from the bureau of
Census for a plat of our area for their use. Mr tripp wa2 to
be contacted for same.
The paving patching ordinance vras discussed and it 1:ras
decided to cont8ct Denny on the phraseology of the word settling
instead of flooding of backfill. Also to be added was a sentence
clearing the village of any responsibility in case of holes or
barracades left by utility companies.
The problem of Franchises 'Vlith our two water companies
was discussed with Mr. Jonès. It was decided to wait on these
franchi"es until the north section or second filing \.;¡es a little
further along in development. It was of Mr. Jones' opinion
that the obtaining of sewers in the first filing would be no
problem but it would be better to I¡rai t until something was
settled about sewers over in Richland Hills, The cost at the
present time seems too high.
It was moved and seconded and p8"s,'ed by a vote of 5-0 in
favor of pas ing the ps.ving ordinance with the above recommendations
listed in paragraph two above. (Mr. Lambert absent)
It ,'las moved and seconded 9,nd pótssed bya vote of 5-0 in
favor of passing the telephone co-ordinance as is.
A franchise with O'Rourke was discus~'ed and it "1'798 decided
to shèlve this problem until O'Rourke could give U8 a few guar-
antees and act a little more responsible than he has in the past.
The livestock ordinance was further discussed. It was
moved and seconded and passed by a vote of 5-0-to pass the
ordinance as written. (Con't)

The ordinance pertaining to deed restrictions written by
Mr. Lambert was turned over to Mr. Christofer for any revisions
necessary before voting anå passing on it.
The Neighborhood News was selected as the official Newspaper
for the Town of North Richland Hills for the Durpose of official
publication of ordinances.
