Preßent Mayor Denney, Ellenburg, MacCarthey, Nace, And
Christopher. .
Mavor H. Norton and two City Council members wère present
from Richland Hills. Mayor Norton presented many facts
about the purchase of the Texas Weter Co. Water system
by Richland Hills. A copy of J. J. Rady and Co. Survay
of the now existing water systen in this area was present~l
to the North Richland Hills City Council.
Mayor Norton said Richland Hills would vote on a bond issue
June 29 r9ð;~ in the amount of 1. rJLe6,000 Dollars of
vlhich $$09,150.00 would be used t¿ Purchase the~¡ater System
in Richland Hills, North Richland Hills and Richland Park .
The Purchase price was based on $400.00 for each Active
tap ~ndsapprox $260.00 inactive tap plus 1/3 of one Yr.
gross earnings. Estimated income per. Yr. to Richland Hills
would be~24,000..00 All profit from purchase of water system
would be used in Richland Hills only. North Richland Hills
has at present approx. 165 active taps.
Mayor Norton stated that one more Trinety well will be
drilled with in the next year ,. and that the water rates
would be reduced by 10% to all customers if purchased by
Richland Hills., Richland Hills would like a Franchise with
North Richland Hills and Richland Park..
At 9:15 Mayor Norton and Council adjourned
At 9:30 Mayor Denny called the N.R..H. City Council to order
and started with new busines$.
Mayor Denney presented to the Council a copy of the Buldg.
Ordinance prepared by Mr. Christopher.. After several minutes
of discussion by the Council it was voted that the Business
building rates should be changed to $50.00 up to 5,000sq.
ft/. and $100.00 for bldg. 5,000 to 20,000 sq. ft. 20,000
up $150.00 Any addisions to present structure up to 2,000
sq. ft. $25000 Any Addisions in excess of 2,000 sq. ft.
will be as per-scribed above.
Mr. MacCarthey made a motion to except building permit
ordinance as amended by City Council Seconded by Ellenburg
and passed by 4 to °
Mayor Denny brought up the question of garabe collection
franchise . It was agreed that we invite Mr. King to our
next Council meeting to hear what he could offer us in

The Cit.y Bills of $15.75 was voted paid by the Council,
Consi~tlng of type writer rent.al~ Chairs~ Paper and
Printing. A motion by Mr. Chistopher and seconded bYMr /7
