Minutes of the Oouncil ~eetin~ 3 June 1957:
Meeting was called to order at 8:10 F.~.. Those present w =r
were: ~~yor Nace, Oouncilmen Kutilek, Putnam, Franklin, and Wood, and
several visitors. ~inutes of the previous meeting were read and
approved.
Mr. Ohristopher advised that a copy of the agreement with
Mr. McOauley be filed with the County Olerk's Office.
rv:r. Putnam, contactedrexas Bi tuli thic Oompany to obtain
material costs for street repair. He was told that until storm
8,wers were installed in the area street repair would be on a hit-or-
miss basis. Repair at the present time is not feasible until the
road beds dry out.
Mr. Kutilek made a pro~rese report on the bulletin board
construction.
A discussion was held about mosquito control.
It was reported that people have been comp¡ainin~ about
weeds growing on vacant lots. 1~. Futnam will draft a letter to
property owners asking them to mow vacant lots.
During the past month a franchiee contract was effectad with
K & S Service Company.
It was reported that 33 new street signs will be needed.
These will be ordered and erected.
A representative for Estes Service Oompany read their ap-
plication for a franchise contract. They wish the contract to be on
a yearly basis subject to renegotiation at the term of the contract.
Mr. Franklin moved that the application for franchise contract be
accepted. Motion was seconded and passed.
Mr. Tabor reported that the Hillview Addition has inade-
quate fireplug facilities. The Council recommended that in the fu-
ture the Zoning Commission shall require fireplugs to be shown on
plate of proposed additions prior to approval.
Several citizens requested that the curbing blockin;!; the
extension of Deville Drive to Kenmichael Oourt be removed to allow
through traffic. The l',ayor a¡:pointed I'll'. Putnam and Nr. Franklin
to contact the necessary people to have this done.
A special meeting was called for 17 June for tbe specific
purpose of opening bide for the North Richland Hille bank account
and reports on the bulletin board, weed clearing, repair of streets,
and extension of Deville Drive.

Minutes are revised to state that !.Ir. Estes says he has 800
customers in North Richland Hills.
