Minutes of the previous meetin~ were read)~ amended, and approved. Þ;r. Franklin repor~ed that at the present time it is not possible to extend Deville Drive through to Ken Michael Court. An amendrr;ent to Ordnance /r9 providin:; penalties for lack of buildins pend ts was read. :,lr. \iood moved for adoption. Motion was seconded and unanirrously passed. Bids for the City's checkin; account were opened and read. Mr. Franklin moved that we leave the Oity's money in the Haltom Oity State Bank until such time as the street repair program is fairly well completed, since all bids were identical. Motion was seconded and passed. A letter WaS read from O. W. Otwell tendering his resig- nation as Oi ty .Marshall and BuildinÅ¡ Fermi t Oollector. !'lr. Wood moved to accept the resignation with regrets. It WqS seconded and unanimously passed. A letter from the FTA concerning dangerous street intersections and a request for an air raid alert signal was read. Mr. Wood moved to apply for ma tchin~ funds, for the purchase of a siren, from the Civil Defense Or~anization. Motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Mr. Wood is to look into the matter of the matching funds. 1,;: Jud:.;e Tripp presented a petition requestin;; the Oity to buy ckiirs.fop the Oi~i~ Lð~~a~. The subject of street signs was discussed and reflector signs decided upon because of their prominence and lower cost. A discussion was held concerning the Night fatrolman in North Richls.nd Hills. It was su:;}ested that he be /Lade 3. Deputy l-<iarsÌ1all and that the Corporation Oourt be activated to aid local law enforce- ment. Codes for electrical and plumbin~ work were discussed. Ì·ir. Franklin Iwved, had seconded and passed adjournment at 10:07 p.GJ. EauvDli parb.graph ammended to state, since all bids were the same, the money would be left in the Haltom City State Bank.
