Minutes of the meetin; of 5 Au~ust 1957:
Meeting was called to order at E:lO [.m. Those present were
Mayor Nace, Councilmen Futnaro, Wood, Franklin, and Kutilek.
Oartain Dysert of the county Civil Defense Organization, spoke
concerning the organization and workin~ of' the .'ationalJivil Defense
pro5ram and how the individual community fits into the overall struc-
ture. He also elaborated on the cost and installation of a siren
system for the amall community. Small uni ts, aui table for our use,
would cost aprroximately $1,000 installed.
The minutes of the previous ~eetins were read, amended, and
an~roved .
~~r. Futnam moved to ray the issuin~ office of buildin:; permits
a fee of 1070 for their services. Theotion was seconded and passed
unanimously.
hr. Frank liovanni was appointed and confirmed by tte ~ouncil
as auildin'~ Fermit Clerk and to be compensated 15,% of the gross receipts.
A discussion was held concerning law enforcement in the area.
An ordinance was read concernin::; the arrointment and duties of
various city officials. Mr. Wood moved for adoption; the motion was
seconded and passed unanimously.
An ordinance was read concerning the organization of a Oorr:ora-
ticn Court, the duties of the Jud~e and Olerk, and the establishment
of fines, fees, bonds, and appeals. Kr. Wood moved, had seconded,
and unanimously passed adortjon of the ordina'1ce.
