A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, RECOMMENDING AWARD OF A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BY TARRANT COUNTY TO
HORSESHOE CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE 47th ANNUAL
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
PROJECT IDENTIFIED AS PARAMOUNT STREET SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WITHIN THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Paramount Street Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project was bid by
Tarrant County as a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project
on February 2, 2021; and
WHEREAS, CDBG funds available for the construction of Paramount Street Sanitary
Sewer Improvement Project total $313,422.00; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County's consultant and City staff have recommended award of the
Project's bid to Horseshoe Construction, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County desires a recommendation by the City Council of the City of
North Richland Hills to award the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of North Richland Hills hereby recommends that Tarrant
County award the contract for the Paramount Street Sanitary Sewer
Improvement Project (CDBG) to Horseshoe Construction, Inc. in the
amount of$249,845.50.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its adoption, and it is so resolved; and all resolutions
of the City Council of the City in conflict herewith are hereby amended or
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
