REGULAR MEETING: 7:00 PM
The City Council of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas met as the Landscape Review
Board on the 12th day of July after the 7:00 p.m. City Council meeting.

MEMBER DEUPREE TO APPROVE MINUTES OF THE APRIL 12, 2021 LANDSCAPE
REVIEW BOARD MEETING.
MOTION TO APPROVE CARRIED 7-0.
C.2 LRB 2021-02 CONSIDERATION OF A REQUEST FROM EMBREE
CONSTRUCTION GROUP FOR A PERMIT FOR NONCONFORMITY TO
CHAPTER 114 (VEGETATION) OF THE NORTH RICHLAND HILLS CODE OF
ORDINANCES AT 5501 RUFE SNOW DRIVE, BEING 0.602 ACRES
DESCRIBED AS LOT 3, BLOCK 4, INDUSTRIAL PARK ADDITION.
APPROVED
Principal Planner Clayton Husband informed City Council the applicant is requesting a
permit for nonconformity to Chapter 114 for 0.602 acres located at 5501 Rufe Snow
Drive. Mr. Husband provided site photos of the property.
Applicant representative Aaron Albirght, 1122 Woodpark Lane, Georgetown, Texas
informed the Board the remodel and improvements to the site include reconstruction of
exterior building facade, install new signage, increasing the building envelope to
accommodate a new high efficient kitchen with increased storage and installation of new
interior finishes and decor package. The exterior site upgrade includes new landscaping,
new pedestrian walkway and ramp, new dumpster enclosure and new decorative islands
in the parking lot. Mr. Albright was available to answer questions.
Mr. Husband presented a summary of the request for the permit of nonconformity, noting
since the remodel of the building would increase the value by more than 75%, the
general standards of the Vegetation Chapter 114, Article III, Section 114-71 of the
Landscaping Regulations apply to this property. Therefore, the request is before the
Board for consideration. Mr. Husband was available to answer questions.
The Board had no questions for the applicant or staff.
Board member Compton shared that this comes at good time as the rest of the property
is being upgraded.

MOTION TO APPROVE CARRIED 7-0.
