HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2022-033 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-033 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PROJECT FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CARES ACT PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development allocated special Community Development Block Grant funds under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. WHEREAS, the City of North Richland Hills will receive funds for the Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) Program; and WHEREAS, CDBG-CV funds are used to assist with revitalization of neighborhoods, economic development, and to provide public facilities and services for low to moderate income areas in order to prevent, prepare, and respond to COVID-19; and WHEREAS, the City of North Richland Hills is desirous to receive CDBG-CV funds to improve the quality of life in the identified target area of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the above findings are hereby incorporated into this Resolution. SECTION 2. That the City requests approximately $250,000 in CDBG-CV funding. SECTION 3. That the North Richland Hills City Council hereby designates the CDBG-CV Project as the reconstruction of the water line running along Cynthia Circle (the "Project"). SECTION 4. That the entire amount received in CDBG-CV funds be used for the Project. SECTION 5. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption, and it is so resolved; and all resolutions of the City Council of the City in conflict herewith are hereby amended or repealed to the extent of such conflict.
