CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Hunter; Councilmen Bel], Terrel], Johns, Camp- bel] and White. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF PRESENT: City Attorney, Fire Chief, Acting Police Chief, Inspector, Elec- tricEI Inspector, Fire Marshal, C. P. A. and City Secretary. M~yor Hunter introduced Mr. Cliff Johnson, City Manager of Hurst, Texas, to Council and then asked Mr. John Bar~ield to rel~te de- tails of his meeting with the Murat Council concerning boundary question cutting through the middle of the Woodcrest Addition. Mr. B~rfield presented a topo map and a plat showing where the Joint boundary ran through said Addition and asked Mr. Johnson to expl~in what the Hurst Council h~d agreed upon. Mr. Johnson explained after studying both plat and topo map, it was felt it would be advantagous for North Richland HllJs to take these lots, Borne 16 or lB. The back e&sement line of Blocks 8 & 9 was agreed on by both Cities. Mr. Johnson stated that the City of Hurst would cooperate in anyway possible with North Richland Hills. Mayor Hunter spoke for Council in assuring Mr. Johnson that the same was true in their case. Mr. Bell moved for the City Attorney to draw up ordinance giving new boundp.ry line between Hurst and North Richland Hills. Mr. Terrell seconded and motion carried 5-0. The Mayor and r.ity Secretary then signed the approved plat upon the City Attorney's approval. The Council then took up the study of Departmental budgets, pur- pose of the spectal meeting. During the study and discussion, an emergency Resolution to present budget was read and Mr. Johns moved and Mr. White seconded to approve Reoolution as submitted by the City Attorney and motion carried 5-0. After discussion the Council unanimously agreed to hire Mr. W. L. Lennon as a Patrolman with Ð six (6) months probationary per- iod with the under8t~nding that within the probationary period he could be dismissed by the Council.
