HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2022-042 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-042 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, City Council appoints members of the public to serve on various boards, commissions, and committees; and WHEREAS, the Youth Advisory Committee is to consist of up to sixteen members from area private schools, public high schools or accredited secondary schools who are residents of North Richland Hills; and WHEREAS, appointed members serve a one year term, unless appointed to fulfill an unexpired term; and WHEREAS, members whose terms are expiring, who are not graduating, and are in good standing are eligible to re-apply; and WHEREAS, all re-appointments are automatic and do not need City Council Approval, if the members are not graduating and are in good standing; and WHEREAS, the Youth Advisory Committee currently has sixteen vacancies; and WHEREAS, the Assistant to the City Manager, has submitted eleven nominations for consideration by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds that the recitals set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated into this Resolution as if written herein. SECTION 2. The following members have been nominated for approval by majority of the City Council to the Youth Advisory Committee: TERM EXPIRES LaMar Allison Jr—The Oakridge School — Grade 10 August 1, 2023 Mason Allison —The Oakridge School — Grade 9 August 1, 2023 Gracie Herrick— Birdville High School — Grade 10 August 1, 2023 Ansh Naik— ILTexas Keller-Saginaw High School — Grade 9 August 1, 2023 Alyssa Creecy— Birdville High School — Grade 10 August 1, 2023 Brooklyn Williams — Richland High School — Grade 12 August 1, 2023 Joshua Martinez— Fort Worth Christian — Grade 11 August 1, 2023 Jackson Hartman — Keller High School — Grade 11 August 1, 2023 Nolan Lordanescu — Birdville High School — Grade 11 August 1, 2023 Joseph Ray— Birdville High School — Grade 11 August 1, 2023 Resolution No.2022-042 Page 1 of 2 Katie Beckman — Birdville High School — Grade 11 August 1 2023 g 9 SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption, and it is so resolved; and all Resolutions of the City Council of the City in conflict herewith are hereby amended or repealed to the extent of such conflict.
