HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-002 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-002 WHEREAS, after public hearing the City Council has heretofore passed Resolution 2000-045 finding it is desirable and advantageous to the City for the North Richland Hills Crime Control and Prevention District to continue for an additional ten years; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held on this date to determine if the City Council should request a referendum at the earliest possible date before June 30, 2001 on continuation or dissolution of the District; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was duly given and published. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that: 1. The Board of Directors of the North Richland Hills Crime Control and Prevention District is requested to order a referendum at the earliest possible date before June 30, 2001 to allow voting for or against the proposition: "Whether the North Richland Hills Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for ten years and the Crime Control and Prevention District sales tax should be continued for ten years." 2. The City Council finds that such District has been and will be, if continued, a major force in the control and prevention of crime within our City. PASSED AND APPROVED this 8th day of January, 2001.
