AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 324
(ESTABLISHING A LIBRARY COMMISSION) PROVIDING
FOR STAGGERING TWO-YEAR TERMS
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City and the
Library Board to provide continuity of membership by staggering the terms
of office of the members of the Library Board,
NΠTHEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NORTH RICHlAND HILLS, TEXAS:
That Ordinance No. 324 of the City of North Richland Hills,
Texas, heretofore passed and adopted on the 22 day of
June ,1970, is
hereby amended by deleting Paragraph II thereof and substituting the following
therefor:
" II.
The Mayor shall appoint all members to this
Commission, subject to the confirmation and
approval of the City Council of North Richland
Hills, Tarrant County, Texas. Each member shall
serve a term of two (2) full years, provided
however, that for the term beginning May 1,
1972, three such appointees, to be determined
by the commission at its next regular meeting,
by drawing lots, shall serve for one year only,
Le., untilApri130, 1973, at which time their
successors shall be appointed for two (2) year
terms thereafter."
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of North Richland
Hills, Texas, this ~ day of
