PRESENTER: Kristin James, Assistant Director of Neighborhood Services SUMMARY: The minutes are listed on the consent agenda and approved by majority vote of Commission at the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission meetings. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Neighborhood Services Department prepares action minutes for each Keep NRH Beautiful meeting. The minutes for the previous meeting are placed on the agenda for review and approval by the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission. This item allows time to discuss and further plan the activities the commission will be facilitating at the events. PRESENTER: Kristin James, Assistant Director of Neighborhood Services SUMMARY: Neighborhood Services staff will be presenting information regarding common code violations seen in the community. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The City of North Richland Hills strives to be a community where all residents can enjoy the highest quality of life within safe and attractive neighborhoods. A vital component of achieving this vision is for all properties and structures to be properly maintained. Code Compliance, a division of the Neighborhood Services Department, is responsible for inspecting properties within the city to ensure they comply with health and safety codes as well as educating residents regarding common code violations. The Keep NRH Beautiful Commission is tasked with promoting beautification of the city. This presentation will provide education on the topic of common code violations and will allow commission members to better understand what is and isn't a violation as they are out and about in the community. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Keep NRH Beautiful provides classes, volunteer opportunities and activities throughout the year. This item allows for the Commission to discuss the upcoming schedule of events and activities.
