HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 2000-03-13 Minutes M'NUTES NRH PLANN'NG & ZON'NG COMMISSION COMPREHENSiVE PLANN'NG WORKSHOP MARCH 13, 2000 Members Present: Chairman Don Bowen Ted Nehring Joe Tolbert Tim Welch James Laubacher Doug Blue Ron Lueck Richard Davis staff Planning Director Planner Recording Secy Marcy Ratcliff Mark Johnson Valerie Taylor Dan Sefko Dunkin, Sefko & Associates Dan Sefko made a presentation on Sector 2, which is north of LooP 820 from the most western city limit line north along Rufe SnoW to Hightower Drive and east over to Davis Blvd. The joint worksession between the P&Z and City Council was discussed, with some of the issues City Council believes are pertinent. The following changes were recommended for Sector 2: 1. The vacant area that runs between the DART ROWand Iron Horse Golf Course should be changed to reflect the current PO Multi-family zoning. 2. The vacant area north of Browning Drive between the Haltom City Limit line and the developed industrial area should reflect Industrial. 3. East of Rufe SnoW, from NE LooP 820 and up to the Watauga city limits, then south & west down Rufe SnoW to Trinidad, east to the duplexes that front on Westchase Drive and south along the rear property lines of toe houses fronting on Meadow Oak, continuing south and west to Buenos Aires, south along the rear property line of the four _plexes that front on Lewis Ct, then east over to Thaxton ParkWay and south down the NE LooP 820 should be shown as either a commercial Business District or a Highway BusinesS District (name to be determined) 4. The white area on the north side of Richland High between Thaxton Parkway & Holiday Lane should be changed to school property (blue). 5. The intersection of Maplewood, the Loop Access Road and Holiday Lane and continuing east along Maplewood and east along the frontage road to Davis Blvd should be re-evaluated in 5 years. 6. The southeast corner of Lola Drive and Cummings Drive should be changed to reflect the religious facility currently under construction (blue). 7. The Holiday Meadows Subdivision along Holiday Lane should be changed to yellow. 8. The undeveloped corners at the intersection of Holiday Lane and Industrial Blvd. should be changed to Neighborhood Service. 9. The property just north of Fort Worth Christian School and on the south side of Holiday Lane should be shown as Neighborhood Service. 10. The property surrounding the Assisted Living Facility on the north side of Holiday Lane should be shown as Neighborhood Service. 11. The northeast corner of Rufe Snow and Trinidad should be shown as Neighborhood Service. 12. The property on the south side of Industrial Park Blvd that abuts the Holiday West Addition will be shown as Retail. 13. The property east and west of Kimberly Clark should be shown as Commercial. 14. The property on the south side of Mid-Cities between Rufe Snow and Holiday Lane should be shown as Retail. 15. The property on the north side of Mid-Cities from Holiday Lane east to Smithfield Road should be Neighborhood Service. 16. The property on the north and south side of Mid-Cities Blvd and fronting Davis Blvd should be shown as Retail. 17. The entire residential development between Mid-Cities and Chapman will be re-evaluated in 5 years. 18. The old Smithfield area - from Davis along the north side of Main Street and up Smithfield to Chapman, including property on the west side of Smithfield to the railroad, should be shown as a Conservation District. 19. The Residential area on Mickey & Odell shall be part of the conservation district. \ 20. The property along Davis Blvd, north of Main Street and backing up the the elementary school should be shown as Commercial. 21. The property from Chapman to Hightower on the east side of Rufe Snow Drive shall be shown as Retail. 22. The property between Chapman and Hightower and east over to Davis Blvd shall be shown as Residential. 23. Undeveloped property on Davis and south and north of Turner Drive shall be shown as Neighborhood Service.
