CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Don Bowen at 7:00 p.m. 2. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES OF May 11, 2000 APPROVED Mr. Blue, seconded by Mr. Welch moved to approve the minutes of May 11, 2000, the motion carried unanimously.6-0 Page 1 6/22/00 P & Z Minutes 4. PS-2000-22 PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST OF SERGIO AND MONICA FLORES FOR THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, FLORES ADDITION. THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT THE WESTERN END OF SAYERS LANE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RIGHT OF WAY APPROVED John Zimmerman came forward and addressed the commission regarding the request of Mr. Flores. The property is located at the western end of Sayers Ln. Sergio and Monica Flores are requesting approval of the Preliminary Plat of Lot 1, Block 1, Flores Addition containing 2 acres, more or less. The property was recently rezoned to R-1-S Special Single Family Residential on May 22, 2000. This is a simple plat containing one lot. There was discussion about placement of cul-de-sac at the end of Sayers. The Chair entertained a motion. Richard Davis moved for approval as submitted with the notation that the cul-de-sac may be moved to the east on the final plat. James Laubacher seconded. The motion passed by a vote of 6 to O. 5. PS-2000-09 PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST OF KELLER - SMITHFIELD ROAD, L TD FOR THE FINAL PLAT OF BRANDONWOOD ESTATES, PHASE II. THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SMITHFIELD ROAD, AND SHADY GROVE ROAD. APPROVED Doug Long came forward and addressed the commission. He explained the request. Keller-Smithfield Road, L TD has requested approval of the Final Plat of Brandonwood Estates, Phase II. This development contains 43.22 acres of land, more or less; 6.7 acres of which are zoned C1 Commercial. The remaining 36.5 acres is zoned R2 Single Family Residential and is shown to have 125 lots. After discussion, the Chair entertained a motion. Richard Davis moved for approval. Tim Welch seconded. The motion passed unanimously. (6-0) Page 2 6/22/00 P & Z Minutes 6. PZ-2000-29 PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST OF WHITE & DAVIS, LLP FOR SITE PLAN APPROVAL OF A COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT AT 9284 HUNTINGTON SQUARE (LOT 3, BLOCK 1, NOB HILL ADDITION) APPROVED Mr. Heffelfinger came forward and addressed the commission. He explained that the owners of the property in question have submitted a request for site plan approval for a commercial development at 9284 Huntington Square (Lot 3, Block 1, Nob Hill North Addition). The proposed use is a Law Office. Because this lot is within 200 feet of land zoned AG Agricultural that is indicated to develop as residential according to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan the site plan is being presented. The Lot is currently zoned 0-1 Office District and contains 0.76 acres of land. The Lot is in a cul-de-sac and is irregular in shape. The applicant is proposing a 7,131 square foot office building with an additional 1,480 square foot attached garage. This is the only tract in this Block that has not been developed. There were no other speakers for or against the request. After discussion, the Chair entertained a motion. James Laubacher moved for approval. Doug Blue seconded. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. 7. CITIZEN COMMENTS There were none. 8. MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS & DISCUSSION There were none 9.
