PRESENTER: Cecilia Barham, Library Director SUMMARY: The minutes listed are approved by majority vote of the Library Board members at Library Board meetings. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Library office prepares action minutes for each Library Board meeting. The minutes for the previous meeting are placed on the agenda for review and approval by the Library Board. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments in this meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Breneman moved to accept the minutes, Ms. Donahoo seconded, and the minutes were unanimously approved with the typo correction on Mr. Sorenson addressing title under Revised Patron Policy. February 2024 and answered questions. REPORT ON PROGRAMS AND EVENTS Ms. Barham reported on past Library events: Mariachi Arraigo performance on 3/5 at 6:00pm: 200 people attended. Mid Cities Teen Book Fest on 3/23 from 11:00am-4:00pm: 160 people participated. And upcoming Library events including: FW Museum Mobile Noble Planetarium on 4/4 at 2:00pm. Literary Peeps contest on 4/4 at 5:30pm. Solarbration watch party on 4/8 at 12:00pm. Craft Supply Swap on 4/16 at 5:30pm. Volunteer Appreciation dinner on 4/25 at 7:00pm. International Leadership of TX Guitar Ensemble performance on 4/29 at 6:00pm. PERSONNEL UPDATE The Library currently has 5 staff vacancies, 2 positions will be filled by summer.
