The Teen Court Advisory Committee of the City of North Richland Hills,Texas met on January
25,2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Workroom.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Karen Russell called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m.

ACTION ITEMS
Approve minutes of the April 27, 2023, Teen Court Advisory Board meeting
Mandi Sullins motioned to approve; Bethany Grohman seconded the motion.
Motion to approve carried 8-0
ELECTION OF A NEW SECRETARY
Diana Goodwin has left Teen Court so a new recording secretary was needed to be appointed. Janet
Golightly nominated Mandi Sullins. Nomination was approved by 8-0 vote. Mandi Sullins will be the
new recording secretary for this board.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Rebecca Vinson provided an updated about the newly hired Teen Court Coordinator, Rafael Martinez
as well as,resignations,replacements and appointments to Board Members since our last meeting in
April 2023.
The Board was also updated on the status of training and upcoming commitments from teens to
participate in the Attorney processes involved in the Monday Night Court Sessions and the availability
for feedback options for the attorneys.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
Update and discussion of the current jury selection and improvements to the process for better
discussion and safety.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Karen Russell adjourned the meeting at 7:12 p.m.
