CALL TO ORDER Director Stefanie Martinez called the meeting to order on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 09:01 a.m. ROLL CALL Present: Suzy Compton Council Member Stefanie Martinez Director, Neighborhood Services Edward Cruz Board Member, TACA Absent: Dr. Russell Johnson, DVM Veterinarian Staff: Keane Menefee Animal Services Manager Thomas McMillian Assistant City Attorney B. PUBLIC COMMENTS An opportunity for citizens to address the Animal Adoption and Rescue Center Advisory Committee on matters which are scheduled on this agenda for consideration by the Committee, but not scheduled as a public hearing. In order to address the Animal Adoption and Rescue Center Advisory Committee during public comments, a Public Meeting Appearance Card must be completed and presented to the recording secretary prior to the start of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Center Advisory Committee meeting. No citizens present requesting the opportunity to address the Animal Adoption and Rescue Center Advisory Committee. C. ACTION ITEMS C.1. Approval of the Minutes for the December 7, 2022 Animal Adoption & Rescue Center Advisory Committee Meeting. A quorum was not present in order to take action on the minutes from the December 7, 2022 meeting. Approval for the minutes of the December 7, 2022 board meeting will take place at the next scheduled Animal Adoption and Rescue Center Advisory Committee meeting. D. Clear the Shelters: • Month-long event, August 1st— 31 st • Currently 40 Adoptions Doggie Beach Bash at NRH2O: • Saturday, September 2r, 11AM-4PM • $20/person D.3 Provide update on Trap — Neuter—Vaccinate — Return Councilmember Compton asked for an update on Trap— Neuter—Vaccinate— Return program and the partnership we have with the local TNVR groups at the next scheduled Animal IAdoption & Rescue Center Advisory Committee meeting. E. ADJOURNMENT Councilmember Suzy Compton moved to adjourn the Animal Adoption & Rescue Center Advisory Committee meeting. TACA Board Member Edward Cruz seconded the motion. Motion to approve carried 3 - 0.
