The award is organized by Keep Texas Beautiful and is a grant allocated by population size annually to a community who puts a priority of litter prevention, beautification, and environmental education. Each year a community must submit an application to be judged by their peers and KNRHB submits the application on behalf of North Richland Hills. North Richland Hills has received the award three times. It funded improvements along Davis Boulevard and around the intersection of NE Loop 820/Davis Boulevard/Boulevard 26. Kristin James then talked about the application process. The application is due February 15, 2024, which is before the next meeting of the commission.
