PRESENTER: Cecilia Barham, Library Director SUMMARY: The minutes listed are approved by majority vote of the Library Board members at Library Board meetings. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Library office prepares action minutes for each Library Board meeting. The minutes for the previous meeting are placed on the agenda for review and approval by the Library Board. Upon approval of the minutes, an electronic copy will be uploaded to RECOMMENDATION: Approve minutes of the February 20, 2025 regular Library Board meeting. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments in this meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Herron moved to accept the minutes, Ms. Smith seconded, and the minutes were unanimously approved. REVISED MEETING ROOM POLICY Ms. Barham presented the revised Meeting Room policy to the board members and asked for approval. After reviewing and discussing it, Ms. Mitchell motioned, Mr. Chambers seconded, and the policy was unanimously approved. NEW BOARD MEMBER INTRODUCTION Ms. Barham introduced newly appointed Library Board member Tyler Chambers, who briefly talked about himself and met everyone. The January 2025 report was postponed to the next meeting. REPORT ON PROGRAMS AND EVENTS Ms. Barham reported on past Library events: Celebrating Cultures event on 2/10 at 6:00pm: 66 people attended. Toddler Time program on 1/23 at 10:30am: 70 people participated. And upcoming Library events including: Behind the Book author event with CJ Box on 2/25 at 1:00pm. The Longest Table (Gatsby Gala theme) on 4/8 at 6:00pm. Volunteer Appreciation dinner on 4/24 at 6:00pm. Free Comic Book Day on 5/10 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Local Author luncheon on 7/26 from 11:00am-1:00pm. FY 2026 BUDGER PRESENTATION Ms. Barham discussed main budget line recent Patron Survey response and City Council goals. ECONTENT PRESENTATION Ms. Barham reviewed the Digital Utilization and Clusters presentation, including Cluster Breakdowns, Quarterly Cluster Distribution, Utilization and Digital Use by Clusters, and answered questions. PERSONNEL UPDATE Kinsey Peresh is the new Librarian in the Adult Services department. Andie McAllister and Amy Stewart are the new part-time Library Associates in the Circulation department.
