PRESENTER: Cecilia Barham, Library Director SUMMARY: The minutes listed are approved by majority vote of the Library Board members at Library Board meetings. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Library office prepares action minutes for each Library Board meeting. The minutes for the previous meeting are placed on the agenda for review and approval by the Library Board. Upon approval of the minutes, an electronic copy will be uploaded to the City's website. RECOMMENDATION: Approve minutes of the May 22, 2025 regular Library Board meeting. MINUTES OF THE LIBRARY BOARD OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS HELD IN THE LIBRARY BOARD ROOM LOCATED AT 9015 GRAND AVENUE May 22, 2025 Board Participants: Holly Mitchell Board Member, Place 2 Kathy Antropik Chair, Place 3 Tyler Chambers Board Member, Place 4 Deborah Smith Board Member, Place 6 Stacy Herron Board Member, Place 7 Erin Rodriguez Board Member, Alternate Absent: Kyle Pekurney Board Member, Place 1 Robert Breneman Board Member, Place 5 Staff Participants: Cecilia Barham Library Director Kori Tolfa Library Clerk Andi McCallister Library Clerk Cathy McNeely Library Clerk CALL TO ORDER Chairwoman Kathy Antropik called the meeting to order on May 22, 2025, at 6.00 pm. PUBLIC COMMENTS This meeting had no public comments. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Smith moved to accept the minutes, Ms. Mitchell seconded, and the minutes were unanimously approved. LIBRARY STAFF INTRODUCTION Ms. Barham introduced Andi McCallister, Library Clerk in the Circulation Department, who briefly talked about her role at the Library. LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT Ms. Barham reviewed the Library's key performance indicators from April 2025 and answered questions. REPORT ON PROGRAMS AND EVENTS Ms. Barham reported on past Library event: • Free Comic Book Day on 5/10 from 10:OOam-12:OOpm: 430 people attended. And upcoming Library events including: • "Color our World" Mayor Summer Reading Club: kickoff party on 5/31 at 10:OOam. • Local Author Luncheon event on 7/26 at 11:00am. FACILITIES UTILIZATION Ms. Barham presented the Study and Collaboration Rooms Analysis report that included Individual Room Utilization, Demand versus Utilization, Reservations at a Glance, Restructuring Scheduling, and answered questions. PERSONNEL UPDATE Adult Services department has a part time Librarian position vacant, and Circulation department has 2 part time Library Associate positions vacant. THE MAKER SPOT TOUR Ms. Barham and Kori Tolfa gave a tour of The Maker Spot and answered questions from the board. NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting will be held on August 21, 2025 at 6:OOpm.
