CALL TO ORDER
Chairwoman Kathy Antropik called the meeting to order on November 20, 2025, at 6:00 pm.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
This meeting had no public comments.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ms. Smith moved to accept the minutes, Mr. Chambers seconded, and the minutes were
unanimously approved.
LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Ms. Barham reviewed the library's key performance indicators from October 2025 and
answered questions.
REPORT ON PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
Ms. Barham reported on past Library event:
• Jazz Bites performance on 10/20 at 6:00pm: 70 people attended.
• Friends of the Library Book Sale on 10/4 from 10:00-3:00pm: over 1,300 people
attended.
• Homeschool Science on 10/10 at 11:00am: 86 people participated.
• Ballet Folklorico performance on 11/1 at 3:00pm: 270 people attended.
• Craft Supply Swap event on 11/8 from 11:0Oam-1:00pm: 120 people participated.
And upcoming events, including:
• NRH Christmas Tree Lighting event on 12/4 from 6:00-8:OOpm.
• Behind the Book event with author Katherine Center on 12/10 at 1:00pm.
• Stories with Santa event on 12/11 at 5:00pm.
• Flutissimo! Flute Choir Holiday Music performance on 12/16 at 6:30pm.
• Jane-uary: Jane Austen themed events during January 2026.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE REQUESTS UPDATE
Ms. Barham and department supervisors gave a tour of the Library facilities to the advisory
committee on.10/21 at 6:00pm. Ms. Barham received positive feedback along with
questions and suggestions for the Library expansion proposal.
PERSONNEL UPDATE
Th,e Library Staff had an awards luncheon on 11/20 from 12:00-2:00pm, with the following
staff being recognized and celebrated by their peers:
Laura Fentum (Children department): Part-time staff of the year award.
La Toyia Williams-Griffin (Circulation department): Employee of the year award.
Marcy Tannahill (Administration department): Spark award.
Kori Tolfa (Circulation department): Special award.
Dustin Orazi (Facilities department): Hero award.
NEXT MEETING DATE
The next meeting will be held on January 15, 2026 at 6:00pm.
