A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON SENIOR AFFAIRS; ESTABLISHING
TERMS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council appoints members of the public to serve on various boards,
commissions, and committees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the growing population of senior citizens within
the city and the importance of ensuring their voices are heard in shaping
programs and services that affect their well-being; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 3933 at the regular October 27,
2025 meeting, establishing an Advisory Committee on Senior Affairs to help
identify the needs of senior citizens in the city and enhance their quality of
life, and use all available resources to inform senior citizens of community
services; and
WHEREAS, each Council member shall nominate a citizen to serve on the committee in
a numbered place coinciding with their place number and serve a term the
same length as the council member; and
WHEREAS, the initial committee appointments will have varied term lengths to coincide
with the recent November 5, 2025, Charter Amendment Election extending
the term length of the mayor and council members; and
WHEREAS, each Council member has submitted their nomination for members for
consideration by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated
into and made a part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. The following members have been submitted for nomination and approved
by a majority of the City Council.
