CALL TO ORDER Chair Compton called the meeting to order on June 9, 2026 at 1:31 p.m. Present: Committee Members: Suzy Compton, Chair, Place 4 Kathryn L. B. ACTION ITEMS B.1 APPROVE MINUTES OF THE APRIL 9, 2026 ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON SENIOR AFFAIRS MEETING. APPROVED June 09, 2026 Advisory Committee on Senior Affairs Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 3 A MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMITTEE MEMBER VOWELS, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ALEXANDER TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE APRIL 9, 2026 ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON SENIOR AFFAIRS MEETING. MOTION TO APPROVE CARRIED 7-0. C. PRESENTATIONS/ MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION C.1 NRH SENIOR CENTER OVERVIEW - SENIOR CENTER SUPERVISOR JULIE ADKINS Ms. Julie Adkins, Supervisor of the NRH Senior Center, provided a detailed presentation highlighting recent activities, programs, and ongoing initiatives at the facility. She shared updates on current events, upcoming offerings, and the center's continued efforts to support and engage the community's senior population. C.2 COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT CENTER OVERVIEW - CEC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BRYAN DOWNER Mr. Bryan Downer, Executive Director of the Community Enrichment Center (CEC), provided a comprehensive overview of the organization and its mission. He highlighted the many ways the CEC connects with and supports the community each day, emphasizing their outreach efforts, partnerships, and the programs they offer to assist individuals and families in need. C.3 SERVING OUR SENIORS OVERVIEW - SOS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELIZABETH GRACE Ms. Elizabeth Grace, Executive Director of Serving Our Seniors (SOS), delivered an informative presentation outlining the impactful work the organization is doing within the community. She highlighted the wide range of resources SOS provides to support older adults, including essential services, outreach efforts, and programs designed to promote independence, safety, and overall well-being. C.4 COMMITTEE INITIATIVES & DISCUSSION ITEMS Ms. Adrien Pekurney, Director of Parks and Recreation, facilitated a discussion with the group reviewing the key topics covered during the April meeting and outlining the committee's top three priorities moving forward. She also shared next steps for refining these goals and announced that she will distribute a survey to gather additional input and perspectives from committee members. D. Alexander informed the group that the upcoming Empowering Seniors Expo is scheduled to take place on October 1, 2026, at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth. E.
