ORDINANCE NO. 334
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A RÐ~~RD FOR INFORMATION
LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF ARSONIST, AND
DECLARIiC AN EMERGENCY.
'vVHEREAS, the City Council of the City of North Richland Hills
feels that the crime of arson has become a serious offense in said City;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City feels that a reward for
information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist would be to
the benefit of the City and people in this community.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
A standing reward of 'l'1ÑO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/lOO ($250.00)
DOLLARS be established for information leading to the arrest and conviction
of any person found guilty of committing the crime of arson within the
corporate limits of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas.
The City shall have authority to pay such reward only upon sub-
mission of a claim in writing by the person furnishing the information
referred to in this Section, together with a certified copy of the Court
proceedings showing such conviction.
Since the City of North Richland Hills does not now have an
arson reward as described above, and this crime has become a serious crime
within this City, an emergency has arisen for this Ordinance and said
Ordinance will be for the good and general welfare of the citi~ens of North
Richland Hills, the City Council hereby declares an emergency and suspends

become effective immediately upon passage by said Council.
