ORDINANCE NO. 210
·
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT
TO AND WITHIN ONE MILE OF THE CITY LIMITS OF
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills, Texas on the 19th day of July, 1968, by
that City's Ordinance No. 288 did repeal and rescind Richland Hills Ordinance No. 266,
which had annexed certain properties lying between the Cities of Richland Hills and
North Richland Hills specifically being the highway right of way for State Highway 121
from Rufe Snow Drive West Southwest to the Haltom City limits and more specifically
described for the purposes of this ordinance as follows:

BroINNING at a point in the south right of way line
of State Highway 121 where it intersects with the
eastern City limits of the City of Haltom City,
Texas;
THENCE in an east by northeast direction along the
south right of way line of said State Highway 121,
4224 feet more or less to the east right of way
line of Rufe Snow Drive;
THENCE north across State Highway 121 along the said
east right of way line of Rufe Snow Drive to the
south City limits line of North Richland Hills;
THENCE west by southwest along the north right of
way line of said State Highway 121, 3960 feet more
or less to the eastern City limits of Haltom City;
THENCE south across the said State Highway 121 along
the City limits line of Haltom City to the place of
beginning.
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has expressed a definite desire not to
assume the responsibility for traffic regulation and other governmental services to
this area, and
WHEREAS, the de annexation by said City has created a no mans land, and
WHEREAS, the area in question geographically would be more contiguous with
the City of North Richland Hills,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of North Rich-
land Hills, that the above described area adjacent to the City of North Richland Hills
is hereby annexed and that in the interest of public safety, an emergency is declared.
