AdOJ Ot:!3X AdO::> O~3X ).dO:) OtJ3X /7.:1 ORDINANCE NO. 156 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN ANNUAL DIRECT AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL PROPERTY, REAL, PERSONAL AND MIXED, SITUATED IN THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, AND ALL PERSONÞ~ PROPERTY OWNED IN SAID CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS ON THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY, A.D., 1966, EXCEPT SUCH PROPERTY AS ï1AY BE EXEMPT FROM TAXATION BY THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. Iq ~ '7 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C.ITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:, SECTION 1 ,;/ "1. (" ç ,- i.[" ¡ There is hereby levied and there shall be collected as provided by law, an annual direct special ad valorem tax for the year 19G6-67, for General Fund operations of Seventy Cents (0.70) on every One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) valuation on all property, real, per sonal and mixed, s i tua ted in and all P' rsonal property owned in the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, on the first day of January, A.D., 1966, liable under the law to taxation and not exempt therefrom by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas. SECTION 11 The ad valorem taxes herein levied and authorized and required to be collected shall be and become due and payable on the first day of October, A.D. 1966. !~~;~ SECTION 111 The ad valorem taxes herein levied and authorized and required to be collected shall become delinquent on the first day of February, A.D. 19~7. SECTION IV Should any taxpayer permit his taxes to become ãelinquent that is to say, should fail or refuse to pay his taxes then and in that event, a ~J7r-$lJ:.,¥<!...-,shall attach to the payment of such taxes at the rate of G-fl-e half ~e per cent (~) per month or fraction thereof, for each month thereafter. Said penalty of 'Oáe~~~e per cent (~Io) per month shall be added to said taxes in the event the payment thereof 'ßhall become delinquent as above set forth and said penalty shall attach on the first day of each month thereafter, i.. ."'1 '....... l...., ",' ;.d¡')"J '_ìu3X AdO;) Oë3X AdO,:) O~3X AdO:yt;t' O>J3X -2- Ordinance 156 until the taxes shall have been paid, which penalty shall be and become a part of said taxes and be payable as suchy and provided further that in the event of the publication of the legal delinquent list¡ or if suit is brought to recover such taxes and penalties and the delinquent taxpayer shall be sub- ject to the payment of said taxes, penalties and costs, and the same shall be and become a lien upon the property of such tax- payer, as prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas, the said taxes with penalties and lien upon the property of such taxpayer, as prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas, the said taxes with penalties and costs shall be and become and there are hereby made a paramount lien to all other liens whatsoever on the property on which said taxes are levied. SECTION VI Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or juägment shall in no way affect the remaining portions, parts, sections or parts of sections nf this ordinance, which provision shall remain and continue to be in full force and effect.
