ORDINANCE NO. 219

AN ORDINANCE COMPLYING WITH ARTICLE XXIX,
CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS, SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 179, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, PASSED, APPROVED AND
ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
AND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, NOVEMBER 13, 1967
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 179 reads as follows:
"The governing body may from time to time amend, supplement or
change by ordinance the boundaries of the districts or the
regulations herein established".
NOW, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION IS SUBMITTED TO THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS BY THE PLANNING
AND ZONING COMMISSION:

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of North Richland
Hills met at 7:30 P.M., August 22, 1968 to hear and determine the
application of Mr. David M. Sherer and Mr. Joe Donald Meredith to
rezone 50.47 acres out of the J. C. Yates Survey from its present
classification of "Agriculture" to a proposed classification of
"Mul tiple Family Dwelling". The following described tract or
parcel of land situated in the J. C. Yates Survey, Abstract 175},
Tarrant County, Texas and being more particularly described as
follows: BEGINNING in the cente~-line of Rufe Snow Drive and
being North 3 degrees 15 minutes East a distance of 2009.84 feet from
the Southwest corner of said J. C. Yates. Survey; THENCE South a~
degrees 59 minutes East a distance of 982~48 feet; THENCE North a
distance of 660.01 feet to the center-line of Watauga-Smithf-ield
Road; THENCE South 89 degrees 59 minutes East ~long the center-line
of Watauga-Smithfield Road a distance of 940.0 feet; THENCE South
a distance of 1100.0 feet; THENCE South 25 degrees 00 min~tes E~st
a distance of 359.24 feet to the North right-of-way of St. Louis and
Southwestern Railroad; THENCE South 64 degrees 58 minutes 06 seconds
along the North right-of-way of said St. Louis and Southwestern
Railroad a distance of 981.22 feet; THENCE North 25 degrees 00 minutes
West a distance of 137.04 feet; THENCE North 11 degrees 35 minutes
10 seconds East a distance of 405.0 feet; THENCE North 89, degrees 59

minutes West a distance of 1246.17 feet; THENCE North 3 degrees 15
minutes East a distance of 661.06 feet to the place of beginning,
containing 50.47 acres of land more or less.
The Planning and Zoning Commission with the following members present:
Mr. Clarence Pyron, Vice Chairman, Mr. James Walker, and Mr. John
Crawford, voted unanimously in favor of recommending approval of this
zoning request as submitted. The Planning and Zoning Commission,
therefore, recommends the approval of the City Council on Planning and
Zoning Case PZ 68-29.

NOW, T REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, acting in regular session declares that the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission is hereby PASSED AND
APPROVED THIS 23rd day of September 1968, upon 2nd
reading, with 7 Councilmen present and 5 Councilmen voting
yes and 2 Councilmen voting no.
