HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 0192 ORDINANCE NO. 192 AN ORDINANCE COMPLYING WITH ARTICLE XXIX, CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS, SECTION 1 OF ORDI- NANCE 179, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, NOVEMBER 13, 1967. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 179 reads as follows: "The governing body may from time to time amend, supplement or change by ordinance the boundaries of the districts or the regulations herein established." NOW, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION IS SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION: CASE PZ 68-8 The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of North Richland Hills met May 23, 1968, at 7:30 P.M. to hear and determine the application of Mr. Henry H. Dickerson Jr. to rezone the following described property from its present classification of Agri- culture to a proposed classification of Commercial. Field notes of a 8.954 acre tract of land out of the L. C. Walker Survey A-1653, Tarrant County, Texas, and being further described as follows: Beginning at a point 420 varas and 2033.0 feet South of the Northwest corner of said Walker Survey; Thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes East 770.0 feet to a point; Thence South 0 degrees 84 minutes West 381.1 feet to a steel rod in the Northwesterly R.O.W. line of State Highway #121; Thence Southwesterly along said Northwesterly R.O.\tJ. line of State Highway #121 as follows: South 44 degrees 52 minutes West, 42.6 feet to a con- crete monument; the beginning of a curve to the right; along said curve to the right, a distance of 456.1 feet; South 52 degrees 10 minutes West, 50.0 feet to a concrete monument; said point also being in the North R.O.W. line of Harwood Road; Thence North 89 degrees 27 minutes West with fence line and said North R.O.W. line of Harwood Road, 356.0 feet to a steel rod; Thence North 594.9 feet to the place of beginning, and containing 8.954 acres of land, more or less. The Planning and Zoning Commission, with the following members present: Mr. Clarence Pyron, Vice Chairman, Mr. John Crawford, and Mr. James Walker, denied the classification of Commercial as requested, the pro- posed classification was changed to local Retail on the above described property, and the commission took a vote to the change of classification, and voted for Local Retail unanimously. The Planning and Zoning Commission, therefore, recommends the approval of the City Council on Planning and Zoning CasePZ 68-8.
