AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING WEEDS AND GRASS TO BE CUT UPON
PREMISES: THAT RUBBISH AND TRASH BE REMOVED THEREFROM:
FIXING A PENALTY: AND DECLARING THAT ALLOWING WEEDS
AND GRASS TO GROW AND TRASH AND RUBBISH TO ACCUMULATE
TO BE A NUISANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NORTH RrCHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:

SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any owner, lessee, occupant or
other person in charge of any premises in the city of North Richland
H ill s to allow wee d s 0 r g r ass, 0 r bot h, tog row up 0 nth e pre m i s e s ,
or trash or rubbish to accumulate upon said premises to SUC~j9,f).._;:;:-

culated to become injurious to the health of the citize~s of
North Richland Hills, and either act is hereby declared to
constitute a publ ic nuisance.

S E C T ION 2. W hen eve r wee d san d 9 r ass, 0 r bot h, are allowed tog row
or trash or rubbish a] lowed to accumulate upon any premises of the
City of North Richland Hills, as prohibited by this ordinance,. the
City Counci 1 shall, after ten days notice to such person, hear
evidence and determine whether or not such accumulation of rubbish
and trash or the growth of weeds or grass thereon, or both, are
sufficient to constitute a nuisance as herein defined: and if they

weeds and grass or accumulation of trash and rubbish upon such
premises, or both, constitutes a public nuisance, and shall order
sam ere m 0 v e d by the ow n e r, 0 c cup ant, 1 e sse e 0 r per son i n c h a r g e 0 f
such premises, within ten days from the date of such resolution,
true copy of which shall be served upon such person.
SECTION 3. Fa i 1 ure to cut weeds and grass, or both, and remove
trash and rubbish or to do either of them when notified to do so,
as set out in this ordinance by any party obligated to do so by
this ordinance, shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceed-
ing fifty dollars ($50.00) and each day that such nuisance shall
continue after the time for abatement as herein set out shal 1
constitute a separate offense.
