ORDINANCE NO. 194
AN ORDINANCE COMPLYING WITH ARTICLE XXIX,
CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS, SECTION 1 OF ORDI-
NANCE NO. 179, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, PASSED,
APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, NOVEMBER 13, 1967, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 179 reads as follows:
"The governing body may from time to time amend, supplement or
change by ordinance the boundaries of the districts or the re-
gulations herein established."
NOW, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION IS SUBMITTED TO THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS BY THE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION:
CASE PZ 68-3
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
North Richland Hills met May 14, 1968, at 5:30 P.M.
to hear and determine the application of Mr. Claude
R. McClennahan Jr., and Mr. Robert S. Folsom to re-
zone the following described property from its pre-
sent classification of Residential to a proposed
classification of Local Retail.
Beginning at an iron pin 639.15 varas South and 156.66,
2/3 varas West of the Northeast corner, E.S. Carder
Survey, said beginning point being in the North\right-
of-way line of Bedfôrd-Euless Road;
Thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes West with the said
North right-of-way line of rod 589.5 feet to an iron
pin for corner;
Thence North 0 degrees 04 minutes East 265 feet to an
iron pin for corner; said iron pin being in the South-
erly right-of-way line of State Highway 121A;
Thence with the following courses and distances of the
Southerly right-of-way line of State Highway 121A;
Thence North 52 degrees 12 minutes East 145.8 feet to
an iron pin for corner; ,
Thence North 49 degrees 26 minutes East 59.2 feet to
an iron pin for corner;
Thence North 48 degrees 38 minutes East 152.4 feet to
an iron pin for corner;
Thence North 44 degrees 24 minutes East 137.8 feet to
an iron pin for corner;
Thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes East 18.3 feet to
an iron pin for corner;
Thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes West 19.6 feet to an
iron pin for corner;
Thence North 40 degrees 57 minutes East 251.7 feet to
an iron pin for corner;
Thence North 40 degrees 54 minutes East with the last
call of the Southerly right-of-way line of State Highway
121A, ~6.2 feet to an iron pin for corner;
Thence South 00 degrees 09 minutes West 842.8
feet to the place of beginning and containing
7.17 acres more or less or 312,202.77 square
feet of land.
The Planning and Zoning Commission, with the
following members present: Mr. Ray Porter,
Chairman, Mr. Clarence Pyron, Vice Chairman,
Mr. John Crawford, Mr. James Walker and Mr.
John Sprott, Jr., voted unanimously in favor
of recommending approval of this zoning re-
quest as submitted. The Planning and Zoning
Commission, therefore, recommends the approval
of the City Council on Planning and Zoning
Case PZ 68-3.
APPROVED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION THIS 14th day of
May, 1968.

! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
North Richland Hills, acting in regular session declares that the recom-
mendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission is hereby PASSED AND
APPROVED THIS 24th day of June , 1968, with 7 Councilmen
present and 4 Councilmen Voting yes and 3 Councilmen voting no.
This ordinance is hereby adopted and approved upon first reading by
declaring an emergency.
