ORDINANCE NO. 11
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT
TO AND WITHIN ONE-HALF MILE OF THE PRESENT
CITY LIMITS OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS:
SECTION I
On the 1st day of November, 1955, and at a special
meeting of the City Counci 1, called for the purpose of considering
the petition of Nortex Construction ~ Development Company to
annex certain lands in said petition described, said petition
having been fi led and presented to the Council at its meeting
held on the 14th of October, 1955, which said petition also
contained the affidavit of the aforesaid corporation and of its
President, L. B. Mayfield, that said corporation is the sole
owner of the lands in said petition described and as hereinafter
described, and that said lands are vacant and without residents,
said petition and affidavit being on fi le with the City Secretary,
and said petition was considered.
SECTION II
It having thus been made to appear to the Counci 1, and
the members thereof, in accordance with the requirements of
Article 974G of the Texas Statutes; that the territory described
adjoins the town of North Rich1and Hills; that it is not more
than one-half (1/2) mile in width and unincorporated; that the
petition is signed by the sole owner of said lands and territory
and that the same is vacant and without residents; and tha t
said territory is necessary and required for immediate residential
development for city purposes and is to be used strictly for city
purposes, and is described as follows:
Being all that certain tract of land out of
the H. F. Largent Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, more
fully described by metes and bounds as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron pin and fence corner in the
East line of U. S. Highway 377, a beginning point which
stands 1377.0 feet South and 50.0 feet East of the
Northwest corner of the said H. F. Largent Survey;
THENCE South 0 degrees 2 minutes West 2451.5 feet
to a point 100 feet North of the North line of Webster
Street;
THENCE South 89 degrees 39 minutes East 1154.9 feet
to the West boundary line of a tract of land conveyed
to Tarrant Broadcasting Company described in deed
recorded in Volume 1458 Page 634 Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas;
THENCE North 0 degrees 18 minutes East with the
West line of said tract 892.3 feet to the Northwest
corner thereof;
THENCE South 89 degrees 38 minutes East 435.6 feet
with the North boundary line of said tract to the
Northeast corner thereof;
THENCE North 0 degrees 18 minutes East approximately
1659 feet to the North boundary line/of that certain
tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 2866
Page 441, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE South 89 degrees 32 minutes West with the North
boundary line of said tract to the place of beginning.
SECTION I I I
The lands and territory as described in the next preceding
section hereof is hereby received as a part of and incorporated
into said City of North Rich1and Hills, and the inhabitants thereof
shall from and after the passage hereof be entitled to all the
rights and privi leges of other citizens, and bound by the acts
and ordinances made in conformity thereto.
