ORD I NANCE NO. f~
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT
TO AND WITHIN ONE-HALF MILE OF THE PRESENT
CITY LIMITS OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS:
SECTION I
On the 20th day of October, 1955, and at a special meeting
of the City Council, called for the purpose of considering the peti-
tion of Nortex Construction & Development Company to annex certain
lands in said petition described, said petition having been filed
and presented to the Council at its meeting held on the l4th of
October, 1955, which said petition also contained the affidavit of
the aforesaid corporation and of its Vice-President, Opal Britt,
that said corporation is the sole owner of the lands in said petition
described and as hereinafter described, and that said lands are
vacant and without residents, said petition and affidavit being on
file with the City Secretary, and said petitIon was considered.
SECT ION II
It having thus been made to appear to the Council, and
the members thereof, in accordance with the requirements of Article
974G of the Texas Statutes; that the territory described adjoins
the town of North Richland Hills; that it is not more than one-half
(1/2) mile in width and unincorporated; that the petition is signed
by the sole owner of said lands and territory and that the same is
vacant and without residents; and that said territory is necessary
and required for immedj¡ate residential development for city purposes
and is to be used strictly for city purposes, and is described as
follows:
Being approximately 103 acres out of the Mahala Lynch
Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, being a tract of land
out of said Mahala Lynch Survey deeded to M. M. Mosteller
by Eunice Mosteller on the 3rd day of November, 1883, said
deed being of record in Book 27, page 214, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, and more fully described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING 986 varas South and 735 varas West of the
Northeast corner of the Mahala Lynch Survey, said point
being the Northeast corner of said 103-acre tract;

THENCE South 666 varas the Southeast corner of said 103-
acre tract;
THENCE West 875 varas the Southwest corner of sàid 103-
acre tract;
THENCE North 666 varas the North west corner of said
103-acre tract;
THENCE East 875 varas to the place of beginning.
SECTION 111
The lands and territory as described in the next preceding
section hereof is hereby received as a part of and incorporated into
said City of North Richland Hills, and the inhabitants thereof shall
from and after the passage hereof be entitled to all the rights and
privileges of other citizens, and bound by the acts and ordinances
made in conformity thereto.

The undersigned, hereinafter styled your petitioners, would
respectfully show the Honorable Board of Alderman of the Town of
North Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas, the following:
That your petitioners are the owners of the fee simple title to
the following described land, to-wit:

BEING in Tarrant County, Texas, and beginning at the
intersection of the Westerly line of State Highway #121
with the Northerly line of County Road 13028 (being known
as the Old Fort Worth Birdville Road):
THENCE, in a Northerly direction with said boundary line
of State Highway #121 to the South boundary line of the Town
of North Hichland Hills:
THENCE, following the said boundary line of North Richland
Hills, Westerly and then Southerly to the East boundary line
of a 100 foot strip of land annexed by, and being a part of
the City of Fort Worth, Texas:
THENCE, following said East boundary line of said 100 foot
strip Easterly then Southerly ~o said County Road *3028:
THENCE, Easterly along the North line of said County
Road 13028 to the place of beginning:
That less than three (3) qualified voters reside on said land and
is contiguous and adjacent to the boundary of the incorporated Town
of North Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas.
That said land is not presently within any city, town or village
and that your petitioners desire that the same be annexed to the Town
of North Richland Hills.
WHEREFORE, your petitioners respectfully submit this, their
request for the annexation of the above described land by the Town of
North Richland Hills, and further respectfully request and pray that
the Honorable Board of Alderman of the Town of North Richland Hills
set a date, not less than five days and not mar e than thirty days after
the date of filing hereof, to hear the petition and the arguments for and
against same, and upon such hearing to grant this petition and by
proper ordinance receive and annex the above described land as a part
of the Town of North Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas, and
for such other action as your petitioners may appear to be entitled in
the premises.

That your petitioner is the sole owner of the fee simple title

Being all that certain tract of land out of the H. F. Largent
Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin and fence corner in the East
line of U. S. Highway 377, a beginning point which stands
1377.0 feet South and 50.0 feet East of the Northwest
corner of the said H. F. Largent Survey:
THENCE South 0 degrees 2 minutes West 2451. 5 feet to
a ppint 100 feet North of the North line of Webster
