.AN ORDINANCE ANNEXmG CERTAm LANDS ADJACENT
TO AND WITHIN OOE-HALF MILE OF '!BE PRESENT
CITY LIMITS OF NORm RICHLA.ND HILLS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORTH REHIAND HILLS:
SECTION I
On the 14th dq of January, 1957, and at a special meeting
of the City Council, caned for the purpose of considering the
petition of J. H. Hackney and wife, Hora Mae Hackney, to annex
certain lands in said petition described, said petition having been
received, filed and read to the Council at a meeting held on the
7th dq of January, 1957, and said pet.ition after having been so
filed came on for further conSideration at a meeting of the Council
held on the 14th day of February, 1956, which said petition also
contained the affidavit of J. H. Hackney and wife, Nora Mae Hackney,
are sole O"'WJ1ers of the lands in said petition described and as
hereinafter described, and on which less than three (3) qualified
votars reside, said petition and affidavit being on file with the
City Secretary, and said petition was considered.
SECTION n
It having thus been llad.e to appear to the CouncU, and the
members thereof, in accordance with the requirements of Article 974G
of the Texas Statutes J that the territory- described adjoins the City
of North Richland Hills; that it is not more than one-halt (i) mile
:in width and. unincorporated; that the petition is signed by the sole
owners of said lands and territory and that le~s than three(3) qualified..
voters reside thereon; and that said territory is necessary and
required :for residential development for city purposes and is to
be used strict]y for city purposes, and is described as follows:
BEING in Tarrant County, Texas, and out of the W. W.
Wallace 2605 acre Survey and the E. S. Carder Survey,
beginning at an iron pipe which is 594. 2/10 varas
North of the S. E. Corner of said W. W. Wallace Survey:

CONTAINING.. 46 7/10 acres more or less being 45 7/10 acres
more or less out of W. W. Wallace Survey and 1 acre more or
less out of the E. S. Carder Survey.
SECTION III
The lands and territory as descr:1bed in the next preceding
section hereof is hereby received as a part of and incorporated into
said City of North Richland. HUls, and the inhabitants thereof shall
from. and after the passage hereof be entitled to all the rights and
privUeges of other citizens.. and bound. by the acts and ordinances
made in conformity thereto.
