HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1988-027 -~"-".._~~-~~~^'~-~--,._"~~-------------'-~---~>.~-~-_._.~.-,,--_.-- RESOLUTION NO. 88-27 WHEREAS, at the Special City Election of August 13, 1988, no candidate received a majority of the votes in the race for City Council Place 1; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to hold a Run-Off Election for City Council Pl ace 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of North Richland Hills, that: 1. A Run-Off Election is hereby called for September 10, 1988 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Such election shall be held at the following locations for the following voting precincts: Precinct Nos. Polling Locations 3214, 3324, 3333, 3364, 3366 & 3041 3215, 3140, 3326 & 3289 3209, 3063, 3049, 3177 & 3367 City Hall - 7301 Northeast Loop 820 Fire Station - 6801 Glenview Drive Fire Station - 8300 Starnes 2. The run-off shall be between Lyle E. Welch and Tom Shockley. 3. The following named persons shall serve as election officials: I:lection Judge: Assistant Judge: Assistant Judge: Assistant Judge: Cal Luper Shirley Newman - City Hall Jane Bell - Fire Station - Starnes Sherry Arnold - City Hall - Glenview and such clerks as may be needed and appointed by the Election Judge. The following persons are appointed as the Absentee Ballot Board: Chief Judge: Member: Member: Cal Luper Shirley Newman Jeanette Rewis 4. Absentee voting shall commence in the Office of the City Secretary in the City Hall at 8:00 a.m. on the 22nd day of August, 1988 and cease at 5:00 p.m. on the 6th day of September, 1988. 5. All qualified voters residing within the corporate limits of the City of North Richland Hills, County of Tarrant, State of Texas, shall be entitled to vote at said election. The City Secretary is directed to procure voting machines, if available, for the election on September 10, 1988, and voting machines are hereby adopted as the method of voting at such election.
