RESOLUTION 84-5
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a public necessity exists for
the City to acquire title in fee simple to the below described real property
within the City limits of the City for the purpose of constructing a City
complex for the purpose of providing fire-fighting services, public utility
services, public street services and public recreational services to the
citizens of the City and to construct and complete a drainage project in order
to protect the health and welfare of the citizens of the City and to protect
property within the City.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
North Richland Hills, Texas, that:
1.
The City Attorney is authorized to go forward with negotiations for
the purchase of:
(1) a 22.5 acre tract, more or less, being Tract 4 of the Yates
Survey, Abstract 1753;
(2) A 5.3 acre tract, more or less, being Tract 1 of the Hightower
Survey, Abstract 1891;
(3) A .208 acre tract, more or less, being Tract 2-E of the
Hightower Survey, Abstract 1891;
All in North Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas
from the Estate of Louis Engler.
2.
In the event that the City Attorney is unable to purchase such
property then, in such event, he be and is hereby authorized to acquire the
described 28.008 acre tract (more or less) by eminent domain proceedings in
the name of this City.
