RESOLUTION NO. 81-15
WHEREAS, the office of the District Engineer of the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation has recently requested that the portion
of Frontage road (south) of I. H. 820 between S.H. 26 and Lynn Terrace be changed
from a two-way to a one-way operation; and
WHEREAS, the area in question has unique problems dealing with
ingress to and from certain business areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is opposed to such a one-way plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds there is a need to extend the
two-way operation easterly to Rogan Drive.
NOH, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the .City Council of the
City of North Richland Hills, Texas, that:
1.
The City acting through its duly elected Council does hereby
request that the present two-way flow of traffic on S. H. 26 and Lynn
Terrace not be changed except as set forth in paragraph two hereof.
2.
The City does hereby request permission of the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation to extend said two-way traffic
operation easterly along said frontage road to Rogan Drive.
3.
This request is made to accomodate business needs of the
community which the Council finds are extremely important to the
economic development of the city.
